For the people who did get cbs, was that a mass email or phone call?

Thanks for that. I was expecting an email based on last year's thread, but I guess they are switching it up this year.Anonymous User wrote:NY CB via phoneAnonymous User wrote:Did anyone hear back from Cleary interviewer NG???

Re: HLS EIP 2017
I bid almost exclusively Boston last year. I think I had about 32 interviews - all Boston except for maybe four taking a crapshoot on London. Out of those I went 2 for 32 for callbacks. My grades were 1 DS / 2 H / whatever the rest are P. I had taken 2 years off between undergrad and law school but hadn't done anything impressive / law related for work then. Not URM. From NH originally and undergrad in western MA, so obvious ties to Boston. All of my mock interviews had gone fine. I think Boston might just be more grade sensative than some other places?Anonymous User wrote:Cooley Boston ding. I'm curious whether others in the Boston circuit are doing okay, I am having similar experience to DC people. I have years of real world big law experience and two different OCS advisors have told me I'm a solid interviewer. But grades are mediocre, and apparently that's what matters. OCS really downplays the extent to which grades will f*ck you. I had maybe one or two (of 25+) interviews that were meh, the rest went quite well.
For comparison, this year (interviewing as a 2L again due to dual degree), 15 interviews and already 2 callbacks, so percentage-wise it went better (callbacks - 1 Boston and 1 London switched to NY).

Re: Boston - I'm not sure it was as brutal as D.C. this year. I have a friend who split Boston and D.C. and is currently sitting on 7 CBs in Boston, with 1 in D.C. She's wonderful and very personable, and likely has grades slightly above median (she does have a science background though, so Boston firms probably like that).
D.C. hasjust been rough

Mind sharing if you had an H or higher in LRW?Anonymous User wrote:Jones day Boston CB! Stoked as they were a favorite of mine.
(I interviewed with them last year and the guy took one look at my transcript and ended the interview. He said they didn't take people with only straight Ps in LRW. Curious to see if he was just an asshole.)

I am the above OP. I had 1H and 1P in LRW. Overall grades are 1 DS/3 H/ 6P + life science background. I had CM as my interviewer.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
