Looks like DPW wants to add some variety T25s lol.
I just think its funny out of the ~500 mass mails I sent, the only interview offer was from a V5. so strange 3L recruiting is.

For anon above who had a cb with White & Case, did you receive a response after cb? If so, how long it it take you? Thanks.

I would presume that 3L cb ---> offer timeline will be longer. There are presumably much less candidates interviewing, so they probably try to compare people to each other more.

Any new info on whether SullCrom or STB are hiring 3Ls this year? It seems like the answer is probably no . . . .

Okay this is a stupid question but did everyone in this topic work biglaw this past summer, or are people who struck out at OCI also getting bites from big firms right now?

^It's a mixture of both. Although almost all people have had SA's before, I presume.

Nothing but radio silence so far--no dings or CBs. Didn't do OCI, but mass mailed most of the big firms in NYC. Offer from V30 where I was a SA this summer, top 40% at MVP (but fairly large grade improvement during 2L), only applying to corporate departments. Maybe I just don't have the credentials they are looking for.

Re: 3L OCI
It's possible maybe that they really look at 2L SA's from the top firms (not saying v30 is bad, but you know how the V5s feel about themselves) since they assume they are sniping up the best-notch talent. Although I'm not sure how that explains people from non-T14 schools with like top 1/3rd grades getting CBs over you (perhaps maybe it's a variety reason - they prob have enough MVP already perhaps).Anonymous User wrote:Nothing but radio silence so far--no dings or CBs. Why would you assume that? People who struck out at top schools and with good grades don't deserve such presumption

^^^In support of anon above, I had no SA but was able to get several V5 callbacks and V20 offers.

I'm not assuming, I'm just saying what firms may be assuming.

No, I don't think that's right about only looking for SAs from top firms. I've had a good deal of success with a V50ish offer.
