Yes I got one yesterday evening. I don't interview with the firm until Tuesday morning.

Only one firm IIRC sends out dinner invitations before screener interviews. Congratulations on your great grades, but I believe this practice is fairly rude considering they do not invite everyone with a screener to the dinner.

More to the point of the other post. Most firms that do callback dinner type events post screener notify you pretty quickly, as in the afternoon after your screener interview or sometimes even at the end of the screener interview itself.

Were these invites for an individual dinner? Or a generic email saying they're having a dinner for those interviewing with them?

Probably, if they wanted you they wouldn't have a problem letting you stuff your face at Nana's. Why would the say no dinner but still give you a CB?

Addressing all previous questions:

1) Gibson and Weil do dinners pretty much immediately after screener interviews.
2) No dinner means no CB.
3) The firm that gives dinner CBs before screener interviews is W&C (DC).
4) Non-dinner CBs generally happen by phone the day after screener interviews for NYC firms (note: I said generally because some firms (re: very, very few in NYC) e-mail CBs and some move more slowly, as in 2 - 4 days after the screener interview).
5) Extra: some firms that do not do dinner CBs to offer dinners later on.

I accepted my first dinner invite yesterday, not knowing dinners were a thing, and had to turn down two later dinner invites (including one of my top choices). Can turning down dinner result in ding?

I haven't heard of any CBs or dings yet, but I haven't been hanging out in the lounge much. Anyone heard of any movement yet, good or bad? I know it's still pretty early.

You shouldn't be hearing about CBs or dings in the lounge because people shouldn't be talking about them there. It's tacky and it needlessly throws other people off their game.

Entirely agreed but sometimes people do. Anyway I didn't mean it in a 'did you overhear anything' way, but that I haven't been spending much time around classmates right now so I didn't know if there's been responses yet in any market.

I have been in the lounge quite a bit today and yesterday (I might be in there right now) and I have not heard of much callback speak at all. Even after talking to my closest friends, nobody has CB's yet and there are a wide range of markets represented.
