Eh. The question isn't whether you would accept an offer, but whether you would accept it and then bolt after 2-3 years for another city. You can't always determine that from an interview.

Also, Sidley Houston is up. No morning slots. Ughhhhhhhhh.

They're out. They weren't showing, but the interviews went out Monday or Tuesday.

Kirkland Houston is out.

Still waiting on New England, Shook (Houston), Slater (Dallas), Dentons (EIW), and Axinn (EIW).

The Kirkland is only for their PE positions right? This has to be absurdly competitive.

Have people gotten Kirkland Houston offers yet? And am I the only one that it shows "pending" for shook Houston and slater dallas? Really hoping for one of these.

Kirkland Houston is out. Not sure about Shook and Slater, but I don't think they're out.

New England interviews are out (apparently these don't show up on the site). I got Proskauer, Choate, and Shipman.

ETA: Apparently all the Texas firms are out.

Shook (Houston) posted yesterday afternoon, but not through Symplicity. CSO just emailed you and asked what time you wanted. It was super weird.

That's probably because they only picked two people.

Who is "they" that you are talking about? Why would Shook only interview two people? That sounds absurd.

I don't know why, but Shook Houston only picked 2 people.

Are they simply not attending WashU OCI or are they not participating in fall recruiting at all? The email made it sound like the latter.

So embarrassing. You should drop all of your interviews in protest of the slapshod, unprofessional, and juvenile manner in which the CSO office has handled the entire process to date.

Does anyone know what their hiring criteria is? Same as firms in STL? Looking for ties, grades, or agriculture background?

i had callback with them during 1L OCI (did not get the offer so take this with grain of salt lol) but they openly admitted that they care less about ties than the firms do. It was a "We're like one of the most baller companies in the world, we don't worry about retaining talent" vibe. If anything they asked a lot of behavioral questions and wanted to see if and why i was interested in working in-house at Monsanto specifically as opposed to working at a firm. (Monsanto has actually started hiring a handful of grads right out of law school). Behavioral questions were stuff like "Describe a time when you were a leader" and "describe a time when you had to face a challenge and how you overcame it." etc... etc..

Is that because you spent the entire interview talking about how much you love organic food?

I know it's kinda early in the game but anyone heard anything from anyone?

Does anyone know how long these midwest firms take from screener to callback?

I heard somebody got a Chapman Cutler cb, although it was a friend of a friend type thing, so grain of salt and all that.

I have heard it can vary, the ones that gave me timelines said 1-3 weeks.
