Source: someone hired by stark. I don't know about hiring late in the fall. What's your source on that?Anonymous User wrote:Not sure, but I know he's not hiring (I think his oscar page actually says this). What's your source on Stark? I'd say in super-competitive districts probably around half...maybe more. I'm getting the feeling despite the application surge from third-years that the number of spots seems smaller than prior years and that judges are looking more heavily at alumni with experience than before.Anonymous User wrote:so...what percentage of judges do we think have put out calls by now? Significantly less than half?

Based on what I know about last year, significantly more than half of the calls have gone out by now. Scattered calls will still go out, but most calling is done by the end of the hour.Anonymous User wrote:so...what percentage of judges do we think have put out calls by now? Re: 2012 Clerkship Application Thread
Here's my stats/ update so far:
CCN, top 25% (self-estimated as high as top 15% but they only tell us if we are top 10% or top 25%)
Secondary journal, articles editor, not published
1 very strong rec from a professor I RA'd for, 2 other good recs (at least, that's what I assume...we don't get to read them)
2 D.Ct. interviews, 1 in Philly and 1 in Camden. I have strong ties to that area.
Very happy with how well I did considering. There are a couple judges I had hoped to hear from, but I steeled myself for none so I am happy with 2.
Is there any reason not to name the judges? Last year's thread seemed to and I don't mind but since nobody else is I am afraid there is some reason to stay mum.

Don't get the reluctance to name the judges as well to at least bring closure.

Is there any way to publicly find phone numbers for judges for parlaying? My school keeps an incomplete list, with some numbers missing and others incorrect (although a few are correct), and I can't call the main clerk's office person more than once without being impolite...

Google the court (ex: "central district of california") and the website should have a number. You might have to do some digging on the site though because some of these sites are terribly organized.Anonymous User wrote:Is there any way to publicly find phone numbers for judges for parlaying? Re: 2012 Clerkship Application Thread
T30 law school (not on east coast)
Top 2% of class
Law Review (not on board of editors)
Moot Court Awards
Internships for one state judge, one federal judge, and DOJ.
Applied to over 100 district (including specialty courts) and CoA judges up and down East and West coast.
Results so far: two District judges (same district) in same region as school. And here I was thinking I might have a chance to escape east.
