Hey now - at least credit the original author/compiler of that data. Because I spent time looking up V designations and counting up offers instead of studying, my chance at all the V's got downgraded.
True. Thanks, and props for wasting your time
I am not the original leaker, btw. I simply counted up the Vault offers and divided by 400, a number which came from the anonymous OP.

On that note, this thread is cited in UCLA Prof. Richard Sander's new paper.

See page 19, footnote 32.
The integrity of his work product never fails to impress.

See page 19, footnote 32.
wait, did anyone else actually read this paper?

the main thesis:
"We hypothesize that law school tier will have some bearing on initial law firm
recruitment, but that law school grades will also be highly relevant, and will increase in
importance over time. Moreover, law school grades will have long‐term effects on legal careers
while law school tier is a quickly depreciating asset."
woah....

I'm reading it, and it's a mess. I mean, his reputation preceded him, but this is an epic failure in so many ways. Not only are the figures and their sources difficult to decipher (five tiers of law schools? and where is he getting law school salary medians from?), but the logical jumps and requisite inferences are astounding. I mean, he has some interesting points, and some of the data is telling, but on the whole it seems very shoddy. Not surprising that a TLS citation appears in it.
