If you really want SEO talk to them and let them know your situation. They will work with you many times. It won't hurt to ask.

Did you deposit at a school and let SEO know? If so, how long ago did you notify them?

I deposited at a school about three weeks ago. I only had my follow up last week, due to scheduling issues. It's been just barely over a week since I had the follow up now.

Part of me was considering doing this, but I am worried about ticking them off. I know they have a boatload of applicants who aren't pressuring them to pick by a certain date, and since I don't see myself as a star candidate, I figured I'd just get ready for a long ride. I think I will likely accept this other job Friday, since I'm probably out of the running for SEO, and if, by some miracle, I get SEO, then I will definitely take it. I just spoke with someone at the place I might go to if SEO doesn't come through and she said that I should tentatively accept Friday and should back out before April 22nd so they have enough time to find a replacement.

Have any rejections gone out yet? It seems that they're making decisions later this year than previously.

Yeah, either that or people are too scared to report having received a decision. I imagine that they'll want to give out the rest of their decisions fairly soon. I mean, most of their interns will have to work on trying to find summer housing ASAP.

I had my follow up interview in February before I picked a school (I chose a law school last Thursday and sent in my deposit slip to SEO the same day).

Is anyone else in my boat or did you guys all have your follow up interview after you picked a school?

Had my follow up interview recent-ish and also deposited recent-ish and sent confirmation.

Just have to wait now...apparently my school didn't send the transcript when I requested they send it previously

So it's on the way up there now hopefully that won't hurt me too much.

Still waiting to hear back from one new admit but here is the updated list.

Yeah every time I see the new list I scan for an NYU break. If they're really hurting for NYU students I'd gladly take a spot.

And two years ago Penn had a lot, so I think the low number last year might have just been an anomaly.
