I got a CB from Kirkland DC by phone the day after the interview.

A friend got a CB from Davis Polk NY. I also interviewed with them and have heard nothing, so I feel your pain.

That sucks. Sorry. If you read through the whole thread you’ll see info for several of those. I got a ding email from Jones Day and apparently ghosted by Sidley.

Are the existence of "waitlists" just pure speculation? FWIW, I've already been dinged by Skadden NY over email -- so there may be some credence to your claim -- at least with regards to Skadden NY.

I think it's pretty common for firms to sort candidates between yes/no/maybe. The "maybe" column is effectively a waitlist as they wait and see how the numbers shake out. Personally, I had a few extended waits for callbacks (3+ weeks) when I did OCI.

Had a CB from Gibson NY the day after the screener, still waiting on Davis Polk NY. Covington DC took a while to get back, not sure if its the same with the NY office
