That hasn't been my impression. Have any stats been released? It seemed to me that TIP was fine for about a week after screeners (early March) then went ice cold when travel bans became more prevalent.Anonymous User wrote:so hiring wasn't affected by covid much and people all have job? this years employment stats seems comparable to past years based on what i've observed in this thread. congrats everyone

I agree. TIP was fine until early March~ Spring break. Then the shutdown froze the market. Those who were fortunate to seal the deal before the shitstorm are okay but otherwise it doesnt look good.

Any updates on start dates for Big4? Some law firms are offering upfront comp to their deferred hires or loans (source: reddit). Anyone know if accounting firms are doing the same?

KPMG emailed a week or two ago saying start dates will be sent out in June. Nothing on comp.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed May 13, 2020 11:02 amAny updates on start dates for Big4? For those of you who are/were supposed to start at a NYC Big4 in July, have you been (un)officially deferred yet? If so, when are you deferred until? Are there any stipends being paid?

I heard PwC froze hiring in March and has since started rescinding some offers.

PwC may have froze hiring but they are 100% honoring offers. We were told by email and through a meeting yesterday.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Jun 17, 2020 8:58 pmI heard PwC froze hiring in March and has since started rescinding some offers.

Pretty sure all the Big4 firms have stated that they will honor full time offers. Currently going through background check at a Big4. Will start virtually next month.
