It’s definitely not unheard of - browse past threads on timing of offers.

As for the other post about a separate dinner and what to wear, I have a couple of those events with firms coming up as well. I’m treating it no differently and wearing a suit.

I've got a straight to callback this week where I have a dinner scheduled for a different day than my actual interview. Never heard of any firms doing it like that before. I assume suit & tie is still TCR? Feels a little weird wearing it just to a restaurant without actually going into the office. Still bring padfolio/notebook to dinner, or would that be overkill?

Same anon; partner emailed me and told me dress code is business casual with no need to wear a suit or tie. Probably going button up/dress pants and no sports jacket since my jacket doesn't match my dress pants that well. Tie without a jacket is a weird look, right? Or is that just me?

Almost wish it would have ben business formal; at least then I'd know exactly what the dress expectations are.

There wasn't anything that stuck out at me as going poorly. Not sure exactly what I would have changed.

I've had 5 screeners and 2 callbacks in Chicago (one more on Thursday), applications sent early July. No offers yet.

Congrats, I dream of the same day offer (or even better, the mythical end-of-interview offer). Recently had a CB with one of my top firms and was told to expect a 2 wk wait; don't know if it will actually be that long but I can just tell its gonna be brutal

Sorry, I was unclear -- I also had a PW CB two weeks ago and haven't heard anything back. (The Skadden thing was supposed to be wholly different.)

Did a screener with a firm's DC office in early July. Radio silence. Going to interview for an international office of the same firm at my school's OCI. Likely the same interviewer. Is radio silence the same thing as a ding? Should I cancel the second interview?

Okay good- same boat, seemed to go really well. They said the hiring committee meets twice a week and shouldn’t take more than a week but holding onto hope for good news
