When was your second round? How long did it take for them to get back to you between the rounds?martindale wrote:I did not have my references contacted, at least not to my knowledge. Around mid October. I think around two weeks. But final round is several weeks later.Anonymous User wrote:When was your second round? has anyone heard back from Queens DA (Rejections or Offers?)
Any advice for the last round with Bronx DA?
Does anyone know how many "chances" Bronx and Queens give for taking the bar exam?

I applied to to one of the NYC offices in October and still haven't heard a peep. Is no news good news, or should I assume I got dinged?

How many rounds are there with the bronx DA? I did my initial round, then a second and I just got a call for my third round. Is this the last round? Also from what I've heard bronx third round is pretty straight forward but I was wondering if anyone heard anything more specific?

Did they pretty much eviscerate the response you gave them to the hypothetical in the round 2 interview? That was my experience and I'm hoping that's pretty much standard procedure.

I've heard Bronx in particularly is really harsh/sometimes outright mean towards interviewees (even more so than other offices, who all push you to see if you'll stand your ground), so I think it's pretty standard.Anonymous User wrote:Anonymous User wrote:How many rounds are there with the bronx DA? So are you saying the worst thing you could do would be to change your mind after they criticize your argument?

It took about 30 days between my second and third rounds. My second round actually went really well. They were all super nice. They gave me a hypothetical but they didn't destroy me on it. My hypos with manhattan were like that though. Very tough!

I don't know if this will help or if people will fill this out, but I noticed there is an application tracker in the DOJ Honors thread that seemed useful. Basically should help to cut out some of the timing (when do people typically hear back from X office?) and the "Any offers from X office?" questions.
There's a tab at the bottom for each office, feel free to add ones I missed. Fill out your dates. Obviously you can give ranges/ general timelines or slightly alter the dates as necessary to conceal your identity, but try to keep them pretty close so people are given an accurate representation!

Re: District Attorney Offices 2017
Got notified yesterday that I'll be moving onto the third/final round at the Bronx DA's office. (second round was on Oct 21st)
Anyone already interviewed for the third round yet? What should I expect? More hypotheticals?
Also, anyone hear from Kings yet for third rounds?

Hey guys quick question. Anybody ever work at KCDA and know what the process is like for a paralegal position. I interviewed six weeks ago, got called a few days ago saying I was the final candidate and that I would be called soon for an interview with an executive. Wanted to know what goes on from here.

Does anybody know when the background check is performed? Is it after the offer? Are we also fingerprinted? Will a sealed record pop up?

What offices have confirmed offers thus far?
Also I see someone on the google doc said they got an offer from Bronx in December but didn't put any information other than that they had their first round interview in November. Care to shed any more information regarding that process?

Speaking to ny offices. After you accept, the summer prior to start date. There are kinda 2. One is a fingerprint service, the other is with the offices own people (personal references, maybe a detective will come out).
Speaking from personal experience i had sealed arrests, disclosed to bar but not to office, and had no issue.
My office only asked about convictions.

Different Anon here. I guess I'd be curious if the Bronx has made an offer to someone who didn't go through all 3 rounds of interviews.

I've only had the first two rounds of interviews, waiting to hear back on a potential third.

I think this was in response to the person who posted they had already received an offer.
