18 interviews and only one on Thursday. Gonna be a busy three days.
What does one do with screeners at a firm they've already had a screener at? Email someone at the firm or just drop it w/o announcement?

"Important: You may not interview with the same office of the same firm twice during the OCI process. So if you had any pre-EIW interviews (either through OTIP, individual outreach or otherwise) and the same office of that firm ends up on your interview schedule, you must cancel that interview. For example, if you have interviewed (or will interview) with Dechert's New York office before EIW starts and Dechert (NY) is on your interview schedule, you must cancel that interview."

T4 transfer, got 12 interviews, half are CA firms, couple DC and 4 NY firms. I'd say more than half are reaches (no V20 firms). Have had no luck with MM.

Moot Court, Mock Trial, etc.: No
IP background: No
Significant work experience: yes (non-legal)
Years out of undergrad: 10+
Prestigious undergrad: No
Other relevant factors: No
Target markets: DC, NYC and Chicago
Type of work sought: Lit
Self-assessed interviewing ability: Good (ended up really good because I did so many)
Screeners or callbacks prior to EIW from mass-mailing: 10 screeners, 6 callbacks (as of 8/25)
Screeners received for EIW: 18
Callbacks received from EIW screeners: 9 (as of 8/25)
Offers received: 5 (all V100 - 2 in V25) (might have rec'd more offers but withdrew from consideration after accepting offer)
My advice: If you have a GPA like mine, you need to make sure your interviews are flawless. You also need to bid outside of DC, I focused on NYC and Chicago (OTIP). After the bidding lottery is over, continue to go back to the website and try to pick up interviews that others drop. I am going to a firm that I did not get an interview with originally, I picked them up after someone dropped the interview. Be diligent in this hunt, you only get one shot at it. I also did OTIP to get some interviews under my belt prior to EIW. I mass-mailed and this led to a lot of action. I ultimately didn't need to do this because I played the EIW game well but had I not, I had some options post EIW to land a gig. Start mass mailing the second you get your GPA.

Oof, that's rough luck. Email recruiters directly to try and get a backdoor screener for your top picks you didn't get. It won't always work, but you can def scrounge up a few that way.usn26 wrote:Hogan DC. No joy @ #1. Any 3Ls here who bid? Do we know if 3L EIW is preselect or if there's actually some type of lottery?

Prestigious undergrad + being smart with bidding landed me 16, big takeaway for future years to heed that I partially implemented with solid returns; forget about getting anything competitive after your Top 10 through the lottery and stack 10-20 with less popular V50-100 firms in places like McLean, Boston, Chicago, Atlanta, Philadelphia.
According to the last few posts in this thread that is a stupid idea: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 3&t=267019
If you don't only choose 1 or 2 markets or you dare attempt to apply to a secondary market you can't prove with an affidavit that you will stay you're not gonna get a callback.

Re: Georgetown EIW - 2016
Yeah getting a lot of screeners isn't necessarily a good outcome in itself if they don't lead to callbacks. Bidding rando secondary markets is dumb without ties
