What market did you interview with? I've heard that many NY firms with large SA classes told their interviewees they were going for a larger class.

A bunch of DC classes were expanding, some by 50% or more. Paul Hastings jumped from 9 to 16, for example. But fortunes at firms vary drastically. Arent Fox was barely hiring and and a number of other DC offices are contracting or cutting their summer programs altogether. No consistent trends beyond controlled chaos.

Its not too late to massmail. I have friends who are still getting callbacks in the midwest at my T25 with top 1/3 no journal.

On a 3/4 Scholarship at my T1 which was a major deciding factor not to transfer. I have been mass mailing but just getting a lot of silence or responses that classes are full already. Question: if i turned down a screener or did not bid on a firm at OCI can I MM them now?

Mass mail all of the firms. There is no better use of your time. Prioritize if you must, but then mass blast everyone.

Does this still apply to OCI screener ding? Still worth MM?

Just do it. It's going I take you a few mins max. Worst case scenario, they're gonna say no. That's not any worse than if you did nothing.

I got absolutely ravaged in Chicago. The two offers I did get were from firms I tacked on to my bid list as afterthoughts. I'm obviously not a great interviewer, I think the lit focus hurt, and I suspect my resume screamed PI/flight risk. Feel lucky to have a job.
