Totality of the circumstances....the firms that are out include about half of what I bid. Plus, EIW should be easier/more successful because you're only competing against other people from WUSTL, versus people from several schools.

I wonder how many people participated in the bidding for SEMW/EIW/MCGC.

If you notice the old poll received several votes today all in the higher echelons of transferring out, perhaps a protest vote at EIW.

If I were to guess I'd say half the class did at least one location on both MCGC and SEMW in addition to EIW. There were some dates that overlapped with other job fairs that probably excluded some folks from bidding, but in general why wouldn't you, especially for the ones that didn't require cover letters.

How are people doing as far as EIW only number of interviews? I received 14 pre-select interviews at MCGC (8 in NYC, 6 in DC) but only 3 so far on EIW (also three alternates). The discrepancy seems odd given that people are usually more successful at EIW. I submitted roughly 35 apps EIW.

Dude/ette you killed it at MCGC, gratz! I've done much better at EIP than MCGC, though I didn't apply MCGC NYC b/c of conflicts with another fair.

I realize I did very well MCGC, but that's what makes EIW kinda strange for me. It sounds like most firms have already come out. I guess I'm just curious if people have been receiving substantial numbers of interviews at EIW.

I know someone who only bid 10 firms at EIW but has gotten 7/8 of the ones that have come out.

Not according to the poll....but it's a small sample size.

Unless your in a weird spot with like top 15% and a secondary journal, I wouldn't be suprised if alot of people who would be getting a ton of interviews are selectively bidding.

Are you the anon with a ton of MCGC interviews. If you are, I think I know who you are and its probably your work experience/undergrad pushing alot of your interviews.

On the other hand. 15% with a secondary I refer to as a weird spot because their cycle could have 40+ screeners for fairs but they aren't really a lock anywhere.
