But is he saying that if your parents make >$43,000 then they are upper middle class?

The chick Norris poster was like an unnoticeable lounge poster for a while. I don't know what made him pull the trigger on the potato cannon.

Most incredible part is how he doesn't think being in $300,000 of non-dischargeable debt is a big deal or anything.
JohannDeMann wrote:I am in almost $300k of debt with undergrad loans. Since 2009 I have paid $800 on my loans all tax deductible. 1/10 of the way into complete loan forgiveness. Not being a flame at all. You guys are talking from positions you know nothing about because you didn't go this route. Just because it is nondischargeable in theory doesn't mean you have to pay it all. You don't even have to default on your loans because you can just call the loan providers and ask for a month or 3 off. But even if that isn't an option, defaulting on debt is not that bad. So you aren't buying a house. Cool you weren't doing on that on starbucks money anyways.

johann would you be willing to transfer the money ahead of time to an intermediary who we both feel comfortable with
someone we both trust

also can you pm me a phone number or personal e-mail address so we can discuss terms and what would qualify as proof
we should make contact outside of tls so i know if i'm wasting my time or not

i pmed you so we can exchange contact info
it would be better if we spoke over the phone so we know we're both serious
talk is cheap on an anonymous internet forum, i'm not saying you won't follow through, but this is an awkward conversation to have with my folks, so i need to know this is a real thing
also i think the intermediary is pretty important, we should talk about that
can you answer my pm plz

This is the problem with you guys. You are all such pussies. I call you on your middle class bulshit. I'll lay up. I don't care about public shaming. I live in Chicago. We can meet for some burgers and look at physical tax copies and nothing will be copied. My point is you guys are all above middle class. You know it's true. If not, I'll pay up. I'm not hurting for money I got that third tier education and the money is flowing like a waterfall. But really I'm just a gambler and think I'm on the safe side

We should consider the prospect of not responding to chick norris.

This is also fair. None of this is for you. It is for the people considering third tier schools who just can't push past 162. It's okay. Law is still for you.

JohannDeMann wrote:I came out of UG with shit grades and walked into the LSAT and got a 162 first time. A third tier school threw some money my way (with an awesome alumni base that looks out for each other yadda yadda) , and I took it because I was in too much of a hurry to get on with my life and start making money. I did everything right in law school - graduated with honors, crushed legal writing, journal, worked while in law school, etc. It took me 3 years of 60 hour weeks to kind of escape my LSAT and UG GPA/shitty law school (I still could not have made it to DC for govt jobs like you want). Learn from my mistake. I wish I would have worked for a year doing anything and studying for the LSAT to get even a 166. Even 100 hours of studying for the LSAT now will do so much more for you than 1000 hours of work in law school. You have 60k saved up right now - you must be doing something right. Stay in your job for one more year and study the LSAT.

If you insist on fucking up, go to Miami. Hastings is shit. Also if you insist on fucking up, I'd keep your savings intact and use loan money for living expenses because you will most likely be riding out IBR for 20 years and not approach paying it back in full.

Yeah who did I write that too though? My advise depends on the person askig for the advice. Duh. They clearly had options. The point is people without options can still benefit. I stand by that advice for someone with options. I stand by someone with no options going to a tier 2

I don't even know what the fight is about at this point, but it's really entertaining.

Also, 300k in debt? Holy fuck.

Are you more shocked at the debt or his blasé attitude towards non-dischargeable debt?
