Has anyone heard from NRF about their dinner? Last year they did one by invite only the day of their screeners

I think everyone was invited after their screener. Note, however, a dinner invite for NRF =/= CB. They did this to me for Austin.

Oops. Sorry, I didn't realize OCI started today (I was thinking Wednesday for some reason -- probably because there aren't any 3L firms until later this week -- also, checking my calendar it actually did start on Wednesday last year). I think I got the call from NRF between 4 and 5 on the day of my interview (ETA: Interview was between 10-11 AM).

Anyone who got invited to the Andrews Kurth dinner on Sunday also get an invite now for Thursday for dinner? Any info on if maybe Sunday was more exclusive or something? Thoughts on going or skipping?

Anyone get invited to drinks after the Bracewell reception? I heard this happened in years past, but I'm unaware of it occurring this year.

Also heard about NRF Dallas doing late drinks, but nothing about Houston.

Walked past Bracewell people leaving after their dinner so I'd expect not

It worked that way last year, (and some who did get invite), but that assumes they're able to fill their slots with the people they invited to dinner.

I'm assuming you haven't heard anything, because I have not either. But please do post if you hear anything either way from Milbank.

Also, everyone please post CBs for UT OCI here if you are getting them.

That feel when no dinner invite...

Also, that feel when 4 interviews so far and no CBs...

Same. Maybe it was just the firms interviewing yesterday, but I was really turned off by the secret dinners and drinks etc. V&E just tells you first thing exactly what the deal is, when you should hear, and when their reception for CB people is. Way better than the secret handshake crap going on at NRF and Bracewell yesterday.

That's good to hear. I have V&E later today and they're my #1 so hopefully I hear something back from them. Out of curiousity, when did they say you'll hear back?

They said they'd be deciding this afternoon, and we'd hear by tonight, with a reception tomorrow night.

Awkward. I hate OCI.

Does anyone know if there is a BB dinner tonight?
