I had 20 screeners and have only heard back, yea or nay, from 8 of them. Should I just give up hope on ever hearing from the other 12 or is everyone else just taking their sweet time?

Had 20 as well, heard either way from 6 of them. However, had heard that some of them offered CBs to others. Does that mean it's a ding from them, and it's just a matter of time?

I dont think that necessarily means its a ding
First anon quoted above here. Glad to hear I'm not the only one experiencing a bit of radio silence from firms that have gone out-good or bad-to others, and that it's not necessarily a ding.

This seems unusual to me-- did they only apply to V10 firms or offices with tiny SA classes? Anecdotal, but I know people at/around median who have received callbacks... Granted CA offices seem to have a bigger emphasis on fit but still, at top 2% it seems like it'd be yours to lose.
Although I don't know of any specific cases like this, overall this year's OCI seems to have been pretty ruthless. At my school I know that screener --> callback yields are far lower than they have been in recent years, which is odd due to the fact that most offices are expanding their summer classes.

Is it completely far-fetched to think that some firms may send out a second wave of callbacks down the road?

well it's still early but what evidence do you have offices are expanding summer classes??
