Seattle. For the person w 12 interviews and no CB, I wouldn't waste energy being worried yet. This is still really early in the game. Give it a couple of weeks.Anonymous User wrote:Anonymous User wrote: Which K+L Gates office?

9 screeners so far, all NYC, no CBs.

6 more screeners to go.

Everyone just needs to chill. I've had 12 screeners and no word on any of them yet. Top 10-15% (3.7ish), great work experience (military and corporate management), and interview very well. We are less than 3 days out from our first screeners. Start to worry if, three weeks from now, you still haven't heard anything.Anonymous User wrote:21 screeners already (CRAY CRAY I KNOW), no callbacks, one ding. Am I totally screwed?!? Super worried!

When an interviewer hails from a different office than the one they interview you for, is the typical process that they will report back to that office with their recommendation? (thus lengthening the wait time before CB's). Seems like a common sense assumption to me, but would be interested to know for sure

Has anyone even heard about CBs from Friday? It seems like it's definitely way too early to panic about Friday's interviews and probably also too early to panic about Thursday's interviews. Still two more days of interviews! Good luck everyone!

Re: Michigan 2013 OCI Thread
Went to the Thursday dinner and haven't heard anything. My interviewers mentioned that Gibson generally takes a week to make decisions on CBs, so probably a bit early yet.Anonymous User wrote:and was the dinner only for certain offices? Also, not sure about the Friday dinner, but Thursday's had people interviewing from 5-6 different offices.
Probably not helpful but 7 screeners so far, 2 CBs, both from firms that other people have already mentioned getting CBs from. First one I heard same day. Interviewer was office's hiring partner which I think explains the fast decision-making. Second one I heard the next day. Interviewer was a partner in the office I was interviewing for. I would expect CBs to be slower coming if you interviewed with an associate or someone from a different office, but also it probably just depends on the firm's recruiting procedures. Silence from the remaining 4 firms.

My understanding is that they take between a week and two weeks before sending word. Radio silence will last longer for Michigan firms than NYC/LA/DC/CHI.Anonymous User wrote:Has anyone heard from Michigan firms yet? Bodman? Dickinson Wright? Dykema?

A friend of mine targeted all Cali in 2011 and didn't get CBs till like a week after OCI and ended up with about a handful. I wouldn't worry yet.Anonymous User wrote:So I have zero callbacks w/ about 12 screeners done, the bulk of which were on Thursday. Targeting west coast. Nothing to worry about--right?

How should women dress for dinners/receptions? My first one is coming up (Michigan firm if that matters) and I've been interviewing in a pantsuit but I was thinking of wearing a sheath dress under my suit jacket (dress and jacket are different colors).

This sounds fine as long as it isn't too short, too tight, etc.Anonymous User wrote:How should women dress for dinners/receptions? Be sure to ask what the dress code is. Mine was casual, and everyone wore jeans + blazer.Anonymous User wrote:How should women dress for dinners/receptions?
