Oh great job Skadden. You pick the one city where I have zero ties too. Not that my grades would be Skadden-level anyway

I have zero interest in transactional law so I would also appreciate some lit postings. Or any. The Skadden one is the only law firm in the past 3 weeks that has posted on my Symplicity (CCN.) It's bleak this year.Anonymous User wrote:Oh great job Skadden. You pick the one city where I have zero ties too. Not that my grades would be Skadden-level anyway.

Didn't see it at all on my symplicity (Columbia). I'm happy to take anything at this point.

You have anything there?Anonymous User wrote:Didn't see it at all on my symplicity (Columbia). I'm happy to take anything at this point.
Beggars can't be choosers but my resume screams lit so selling transactional is basically impossible (though I have tried.)

Interesting. Didn't see the Skadden one on my simplicity (NYU). Why only posting it on UChicago? Maybe they already have a pool of CLS and NYU kids and want to open it up. I haven't seen anything on symplicity in a while though.Anonymous User wrote:Interesting. Anyone else worried at how quiet symplicity is? It definitely wasn't this bad last year for 3L's.

+1. Very strange and bizarre. I knew 3L hiring was dead, but it seems even more dead than previous years.

Seems like everyone overhired their summer classes and now there's no room for 3Ls.Anonymous User wrote:Anyone else worried at how quiet symplicity is? It definitely wasn't this bad last year for 3L's.

There is literally nothing. There hasn't been a posting for a 3L position since late September at my school...Anonymous User wrote:Can we at least list what people have on their symplicity the past 2 weeks...

Qualified candidates are invited to submit their cover letter, resume and transcript to: Leah N. Fisher, Recruiting and Professional Development Manager at leah.fisher@bryancave.com or mail to Bryan Cave LLP, 1201 West Peachtree Street, 14th Floor, Atlanta, GA 30309. But yeah it's rough. The only thing I can think of now is openings that occur because of people clerking.

Another firm posted today, however: Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox P.L.L.C. (Washington, DC) looking for people with Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering undergraduate degrees that are able to sit for the Patent Bar. Previous exposure to LTE within wireless telecommunications field is a plus.
So yeah...totally useless for the vast majority of us.

This one specifically? I wish they put a posting date on it, or took it down when it was filled.Anonymous User wrote:Litigation, political law, etc. I don't recall exactly.
