I know a few alums whose clerkship cycle started as far back as May, so I figure I'll save some of you the stress and tell you which courts I know for a fact were heavy on the alum hires or have hired so far in advance that they are not entertaining applications from people who aren't up for clerking 2+ years from now:

5th Cir.
6th Cir.
EDPA
7th Cir.
M.D. Fla.
M.D. Tenn.
EDVA
3rd Cir.
SDNY
EDNY
D. Conn.

I hope this helps 2Ls/3Ls not feel too bad. Many positions are filled even before the official clerkship season begins, so not hearing from anyone isn't always a reflection on your merits.

Not sure, but I know he's not hiring (I think his oscar page actually says this). What's your source on Stark? Someone told me he might not be hiring until later in the fall? Any insight on that?

so...what percentage of judges do we think have put out calls by now? Significantly less than half?
