Someone posted many pages ago that a bunch of people had 8+ CBs...where are these people if top 10% + LR is at 5-6?

So for those who got no CBs from AJF, if things don't work out from the rest of the OCI process (which is likely) then now what? Where to they find other summer work or law firm jobs post-graduation?
Any info or idea on this?

Median-ish GPA, secondary journal. Some WE. 18 screeners. Thus far, 3 CBs & 4 dings.

Is the URMs comment based on any actual data or just bitterness? I know of non-URMs, non-IP that are at 10+.

Serious question: are they male? I know of one white non IP male who has 10+ CB's.

Actual information. The comment wasn't meant to be passive aggressive. People asked how non-LR people with GPAs below the top 10% (closer to median and below the cut off for top 30%), and I answered the question.

For the record, I wasn't suggesting that they don't deserve it. Also, I'm a URM with multiple (albeit not 10+) callbacks, so no racism over here 8)

Yes, male. Don't mean to deny that URM status can be an advantage...was just wondering if people had actual data (even anecdotal) to confirm that it has been a big one.

Did anyone actually succeeded in getting a CB out of merely handing in resume at hospitality suite, or to one of the interviewers, or from doing walk-in interviews?

There's not that many people with more than 5 or 6 cbs. However, the few people with 10+ CBs seem to be either tippy top of the class and/or URMs. Again, the URMs who are drowning in CBs are high performing compared with other URMs (i.e. no URM with a 1.9 is getting a CB, no matter what their ethnic/racial background is).

Can you share what their approximate GPA and softs are without outing them?

It would be too easy to out. Lets just say grades are great but not exactly top top of the class. Softs? Never saw the persons resume so not sure.

As to the person that says 5+ CB not that common, it seems the majority have at least 4.

OK, one data point. Yes the person who is one of the top 5 people in our class will be swimming in callbacks. Duh. The question is how steep of a dropoff in the number of CBs you get as you go down the class roster.

edit: and no. having in excess of 2 CBs does not seem to be there general rule. If i may ask, how many people do you know with 4+ (keeping in mind we have a class of 200).

Also keeping in mind that people may be talking out of their ass when they say they have X number of callbacks.

Well I've only asked around 6 people but out of them 5 all have 4+ CBs.
