No callbacks. 3 rejections. Sigh.

I don't think it's about being crazy stressed or anything. I actually find it very calming to see which interviewers have given callbacks so I don't end up speculating based on the Doubletree rumor mill...

This thread is really helpful (at least for me), keep it up guys :)
Agree with this. The suspense is 10x more stressful than a definitive rejection.
agree. those who don't like this can leave. I like knowing something even if it is not definitive.

So if I didn't get a callback from the firms listed above, does that mean I'm out....

I think the consensus is that it is likely but not certain that you are out

No, it just means you haven't received a call back from those firms yet. Some from Thursday just made their first calls today. Others won't finish making calls for another week.

Yeah but if you don't hear within 1-2 days after CBs have started going out, it's over. You are dinged. This is only for NYC big firms of course.

Kirkland (las), Stroock (tw), Freshfields (mw) today.

Just received SullCrom (ah and dr) about 5 minutes ago, so it seems like they're still going out.

Cravath (la) and DPW (ts) on Saturday, but I've heard of people getting more calls today from these interviewers.

Also, FWIW, it would reduce even more stress for those who want clear answers if you listed the initials of your interviewers. While some partners make differently timed calls depending on their availability and work, it still gives some more info that's useful.

CBs from the same firm don't always go out at the same time. The way you say 'I knew I made the right impression', though, makes me doubt that you made such a great impression.

Kinda heartbroken about silence from Skadden. One of my friends who interviewed with the same person after me got a callback Saturday. Assuming it's a ding.

Got CBs from peer firms. Really, really wanted and thought I nailed it. Sigh. Thankful there are other options, but it does sting the ego a bit.

I'm sorry you haven't been called back from places.

Are your grades decent? I hear that for most of the firms, screening is just a means to check to see if they match what they're looking for and if you are a somewhat normal human being.

If you're getting dings, I'd just assume it's a grades thing and not take it personally. Unless you're rude or oblivious during interviews--but a mock one should tell you that.

Keep your head up.

Transfer here. So far, there has been absolutely no correlation between my my perception of how the interview went and whether or not I received a callback. I've gotten dinged in almost all of the interviews that I thought went really well, and my CBs have been totally random. One CB I literally don't remember the interviewer or how it went. For another, the interviewer and I made small-talk for over 15 minutes (he asked me one question the whole interview).

Might as well flip a coin IMO.

But hang in there. Hope things improve for you. Still one day to go.

Don't worry yet. And to everyone else feeling kinda down- we still got one more day tomorrow- let's make the best of it! With EIP interviews being so rapid-fire, it's easy to think that this is how all of the hiring process works. But hiring/recruiting is at least a little bit slower and we still got time. Good luck and stay positive for tomorrow!

Fuck the people who are crying at "not getting Skadden while getting CBs from peer firms" when other people are not even getting a CB. So lulzy and law school aspie like...only on TLS.

Not trying to be a doucebag...trying too hard to make a certain impression can come off badly...also arrogance comes off very badly. However I also told the person not to lose hope yet bc not all CBs are necessarily out.

Out of curiosity, what's the latest time at night a callback phone call has gone out?
