Along with that, they aren't going to get 100% yield, so for people with CBs but no offer, there is probably still hope. I don't know their process but I would expect offers to go out to alternates once they get refusals back on all of the original offers.Anonymous User wrote:The HR people are smart, they aren't going to write off the entire class before they've OCI'd at a bunch of schools they like to recruit from. I know an SF callback got an offer the other day.Anonymous User wrote: I think a more salient question is this: has anyone had an NY CB recently (last week or two) and received an offer? Given that there's anecdotal evidence that people are accepting offers before OCIs, I wonder how close to booked the NY QE SA class is.

Still silence from DC? Had an callback in July and have not heard anything. Assuming that they are waiting for OCIs to finish before making a decision on the pre-OCI interviews.

Kind of related, but does anyone know their callback to summer offer ratio?

Re: Quinn Emanuel?
No one is gonna know this realistically because they are doing a new recruiting process this year. Your school's career office might have that info for past years.Anonymous User wrote:Kind of related, but does anyone know their callback to summer offer ratio?

How is firm health looking at Quinn? How much will the loss to apple affect business?

Is it crazy for someone to pick Kasowitz over Quinn if they're into just litigation. I just found those Quinn guys weird.

It seems perfectly rational to choose a firm at which you got along with the attorneys, as opposed to picking a firm because of prestige.Anonymous User wrote:Is it crazy for someone to pick Kasowitz over Quinn if they're into just litigation. I just found those Quinn guys weird.

I do not have the grades for Quinn, so maybe sour grapes, but also found them to be intimidating and weird. And this was in their recruiting event, where they must put their nicest faces.Anonymous User wrote:Is it crazy for someone to pick Kasowitz over Quinn if they're into just litigation. Re: Quinn Emanuel?
Anyone have info about the QE profit sharing package? Or how these plans typically work? This is all their site says about it:
Profit Sharing:
Eligible to participate in profit sharing plan after 3 months employment. Firm contribution is a fixed percentage contingent upon the firm's profitability and is fully vested upon funding.

Re: Quinn Emanuel?
Can anyone confirm whether or not the invitation to the same-day reception was for callbacks only at Texas OCI? I've heard that receiving the invitation at the screening meant you got a callback, but I do not recall the invitation nor the screeners saying this. I did receive an invitation, but I have heard nothing since that day.

Re: Quinn Emanuel?
lol what? I always assumed that meant for equity partners, if you're going to be an equity partner you have to wait 3 months for the profit sharing to begin. don't think this should affect an associate's choice!!Anonymous User wrote:Anyone have info about the QE profit sharing package? Re: Quinn Emanuel?
If those are your only two options, yeah. But if you got Quinn, you will likely have better options than Kasowitz, even for lit. Kasowitz isn't exactly known for being not-weird, anyway.Anonymous User wrote:Is it crazy for someone to pick Kasowitz over Quinn if they're into just litigation. I just found those Quinn guys weird.
