Re: DOJ Honors
How did everyone's interviews go? Anyone care to explain the format? Number of interviewers? Seniority of interviewers? Length of interviews? Number of interviews? Etc.

Re: DOJ Honors
FYI: The Avue community website says that components must designate finalists by Nov 16th (although they can designate them earlier). Finalists will see an updated status on avue, so if you see you're a finalist, please update TLS. Non-finalists should get rejection emails. Finalists will either be people getting offers or alternates. Offers can be made a few days after the designation of finalists.

Updated to finalist for an ATR field office today. (Don't want to say which one, since some offices only taking 1–2 people.)

Does anyone know what happens when the component you interviewed for picks its finalists and you weren't selected? Does the avue status change?Anonymous User wrote:Finalist here too!

Don't think so. You'll stay on your current status and eventually get an email saying you're no longer under consideration.Anonymous User wrote:Does anyone know what happens when the component you interviewed for picks its finalists and you weren't selected? Well, in that case, I suppose the quickest way to find out is if people are kind enough to post here when their status changes.Anonymous User wrote:Don't think so. If any ATRs (main office) have their status switch, I'd love to hear it.

Yes, it'd be awesome if you all could post which branch you were selected as a finalist for...so long as its not a branch only hiring one or two people, there isn't much concern for anonymity.

Re: DOJ Honors
I can't believe they're already able to make finalist selections, considering interviews just ended last week. It at least gives me hope that EOIR hasn't selected finalists yet, since they interviewed so many people, but who knows.

Thanks..."Not EOIR" helps too.
This has got to be the most exhausting application process ever. Really.

No reference checks here, and I'd know.

Re: DOJ Honors
Anyone have an idea how many finalists per position? Anyone selected as a finalist that have not had their references contacted? Are they calling the contacts listed under work experience too?

No reference checks here (that I know of -- haven't asked them but think they'd email me), but did not interview with ATR or EIOR. No finalist update, either. Slowly losing hope....

Were you selected as a finalist?

Re: DOJ Honors
I'm not sure there's reason for anyone to be losing hope yet, unless you interviewed for a spot in a division where people have already been named finalists. The online post said components have until Nov 16th to designate finalists, and it is likely that some components just haven't named their finalist pool yet.

Congratulations!
Well, no update for me two days later for ATR Main; that's that I suppose.
