This was the case for the diversity program I participated in up until a few years ago. Now diversity SAs receive offers with everyone else (100% offer firm). Don't know if other firms have followed suit.Desert Fox wrote:I was always under the impression that diversity SA's had lower offer rates / polices of not giving offers. But I could be off base.

Weird. Everyone I know who has a diversity 1LSA at my school got an offer from their firm(s), myself included. Maybe its changing?Desert Fox wrote:I was always under the impression that diversity SA's had lower offer rates / polices of not giving offers. But I could be off base.

It's as simple as I have to get back in the market and they could badmouth me if they get wind of me outing them. While that's unlikely, the benefit of outing them doesn't compare to the risk of me not getting a job because they badmouthed me.

Re: Summer Associate Class of 2015
no new firm is going to call your old firm. you got no offered, they dont need to call anyone there. by outing the firm, it might not really help you directly, but they might reconsider no offering people next year if word gets out. its just a cycle of giving the employer power instead of taking power on the labor side. plus kinda weird to assume you were the only person in a class that got no offered.Anonymous User wrote:It's as simple as I have to get back in the market and they could badmouth me if they get wind of me outing them. To anon who was no-offered by the office manager: Were you ever given an explanation as to why you did not get an offer?

It feels good to not be the only #nooffer now, but I hate that more people are in my boat.

Re: Summer Associate Class of 2015
This. Also, you are posting under an anonymous tag on a public internet forum. There is no way they can know it was you posting; it could be one of the summers who got offers or someone they told or someone who works at the firm etc. Its pretty ridiculous to worry that the firm who already no offered you is going to find out it was you who posted anonymously on a forum and then proceed to badmouth you. They give 0 fucks about you anymore and are too busy with recruiting/oci and normal work load to waste time playing detective online. You also aren't saying anything bad about the firm, you are just stating a fact about their most recent hiring cycle that will be public in a year anywaysJohannDeMann wrote:no new firm is going to call your old firm. you got no offered, they dont need to call anyone there. by outing the firm, it might not really help you directly, but they might reconsider no offering people next year if word gets out. its just a cycle of giving the employer power instead of taking power on the labor side. plus kinda weird to assume you were the only person in a class that got no offered.Anonymous User wrote:It's as simple as I have to get back in the market and they could badmouth me if they get wind of me outing them.
