I actually do agree that people are probably missing out on the impact of the marginal dollar increases. Each dollar more is another to invest/another that helps you get out of debt more quickly. Or that buys you another serving of lobster.

I will also say that I have an impression that things are cooling somewhat at my firm for the corp people. Lit is absolutely on fire though and putting up insane hours.

I am literally sending this while sitting in a bath tub day drinking scotch having billed 1.1 hours today. But I still want my lobster.

What is the POINT of a chill Friday soak without LOBSTER? And I bet with your non-market salary you only got BLENDED Scotch, or at best 12-YEAR-OLD SINGLE-MALT from some lame SPEYSIDE distillery while Chadwalader associates are downing bottle after bottle of 30-YEAR OLD ISLAY MALTS.

It really doesn't get better than the 15-20 year offerings from Ardbeg and Lagavulin. You would know this if you worked for MillionsintheBank so I assume you're a CravaTTTh lowlife drinking Dewar's.

So, Cooley, Fenwick, Gunderson and Goodwin have all matched. WTF is WSGR waiting for? 215 is basically market in the Bay Area now. Loling at NYC V10 schmucks schlepping from their shoebox apartments in shitty weather to go in person to offices while getting paid under market. While Bay Area chads taking long leisurely mid-day lunches in perfect weather while WFH making 215k.

And what does chulent and kishke look like?

Chulent is just a stew. Not pretty but not weird.

Kishke made from natural casing is pretty gross looking. Also it's delicious. Good equivalent to lobster I guess. But most Kishke is just stuffing in loaf form. Like stew, boring but hearty.
