that is awful :( . Out the firm

Had final review today and was told that since the mid summer review, my second half work had not met their expectations. Said they liked me and I was clearly a smart kid but didn't answer the question asked in one memo and had some typos. No offer?

About the Patent Agent question above. Yeah, you have to pass a separate Patent Registration Exam ("Patent Bar"). To sit for it, you just need a BS in engineering/science so I took it the summer before law school. I am technically a Patent Agent.

At Final review I was told that my reviews were all good to great but that I seem anxious all the time and shouldn't try to answer questions without actually knowing what the answer was--like don't just take a swing unless you for sure know. No offer?

Last day of work and there is a make-work long term assignment that I never finished (due to having real work and never getting to it, not just blowing it off). Do I stay late and crank it out or just say hey, I did like 1/3 of this bye.

Probably no offer.
No one actually gets no offered for a couple typos and missing an issue. I don't think I've ever submitted work product without typos or at least one legal mistake. It does seem like they're setting up some shady shit here, but there have to be other reasons

had my final review. Partner goes "Pretty good work product, a couple people were just concerned that they could not tell if you really wanted to work here." I explain why I in fact do want to work there. They go ok. Rest of review goes fine. No offer?

Did you actually want to work there.
Yeah, I was being mostly honest. This firm is in my hometown secondary, kinda want biglaw in a big city. But If I had both in hand Id have to think, prolly would end up taking big law tho.

Really? Not the impression I got from my SA and also some random comment from an interviewer about his firm's SA
