If people have gotten offers from a firm from your interview day but you haven’t heard anything can you assume it’s a ding? Or do some firms give offers out in rounds?

At lease our career office say some firms give out rounds of offers, and I would not assume a ding until it comes

I got an offer over 2 weeks after my CB despite hearing about offers and dings given to students that interviewed after me in the interim.

I’m sure they’re keeping you on some hold/waiting list because they’re interested in you enough if other students have received dings from that day. Although I also go to a non-T14 school and did not see them through OCI, so it’s possible students like me are put in a waiting pile more often than not unlike more competitive applicants from feeder schools.
what firm was this if you don't mind?
