Re: CB--->Offer timelines?
Baker DC associate here. A few years ago (keeping it vague for anon purposes), I got my offer two days after my callback. It all depends on which group you're interviewing for. Each group essentially makes its own hiring decisions, and some are faster to pull the trigger than others. If you're a "yes," you should get the offer very quickly (a couple days to a week). Otherwise, you're a "no" or a "maybe, but let's check out some other people first." Some "maybe" applicants get offers anyway, as a fair number of "yes" people turn Baker down for better offers (except for tax).Anonymous User wrote:Any Baker McKenzie DC insight?

Re: CB--->Offer timelines?
In what way? If you're asking for general impressions: in terms of international work, they really do so much that they're kind of in their own league in that regard. Some practice areas that are niche at other firms are quite significant at W&C. Their new office is also beautiful. I didn't think recruitment put as much thought into the recruiting/interview process as at S&C/Cravath, where interviewers felt more deliberately chosen to speak to or complement the interviewee's interests or personality. Also concerned that they have a billable hours requirement, not because it means people at the other firms (where there isn't one) work less, but because it creates weird/bad workplace incentives, like seniors hoarding work when there isn't much to go around, etc.Anonymous User wrote:How did you think White & Case compared to the others?Anonymous User wrote:DPW CB last week, ding 8 days later

Has anyone heard of any recent movement from Ropes NY? Trying to pinpoint a timeline for CB to offer has been difficult.

Got an offer from Ropes NY over 2 weeks after the callback. Seems like they move fairly slowly.

I've had silence for just over 3 weeks. Know someone else who interviewed same day and received an offer 4 or 5 days after (including a weekend)Anonymous User wrote:Has anyone heard of any recent movement from Ropes NY? Trying to pinpoint a timeline for CB to offer has been difficult.

Assuming a video screener is the same as a phone or in-person screener, my turnaround was always within 48 hours. I'd speculate that firms would be moving faster now that they're trying to finalize the last spots in their classes.Anonymous User wrote:i know this thread is for CB to offer. Probably. But then again, I'm also just a 2L who didn't do particularly well at OCI. No advice on TLS is going to improve your position though.Anonymous User wrote:Ok, so if it's nearing a week....likely a no then, right?Anonymous User wrote:Assuming a video screener is the same as a phone or in-person screener, my turnaround was always within 48 hours.
