Selective as in what? Grades? School? Something else?

Statistically, they receive a lot of apps, have a lot of interviews, and presumably don't hire many, because they're not a big organization.

People got different things, but holy shit that sounds like a nightmare. Maybe they went after you so hard because they see you as a strong candidate?

Thank you, that's charitable and it sets my mind at ease. Hopefully what they saw didn't change their minds!

I'm a damn ray of sunshine.

Seriously though, one of my friends got the cross hypo and was horrified...but they have to be one of the stronger candidates, so I have a hard time seeing it as a total negative. On the other hand I wandered down a very lulzy ethics rabbit hole, which I'm sure was massively impressive.

The Table Talk was insane. The employers got so many resumes. I wonder what the turnaround will be. They should have the fair somewhere cheaper like Cleveland or Buffalo. DC is too expensive when you are paying out of pocket.

Agreed to all of this. Table Talk was just an insane concept in general - I met someone in the lobby who said that he took a bus in for the day from his LS in NYC just to talk to one employer in Table Talk (no interviews)

I'm curious, did anyone have any sort of positive interactions with any employer at Table Talk besides just a glorified resume drop?

I had a nice conversation with an org that was ONLY there for table talk, in contrast with the orgs I had applied to but no interview. Probably a combo of less interview exhaustion on their part as well as an assumption that anyone talking to them has a fair shot since no one has been rejected yet.

To the 3Ls who interviewed with Maryland, what did they tell you about their hiring? At table talk they told me they were done hiring and now were hiring for post-bar clerkships. But I was semi-zoned out so I likely misunderstood.

I think they said they were hiring very few people, but still hiring? Also possible I misunderstood, it was my first interview and I had just totally botched some stupid shit.

I'm a 2L who interviewed with four PD offices. I received two offers last week, and accepted Mecklenburg.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
