Couldn't agree more. Unless firms have a second wave of callbacks coming, I know people in the top 2% who are very personable without a single callback.

Couldn't agree more. Unless firms have a second wave of callbacks coming, I know people in the top 2% who are very personable without a single callback.

This seems unusual to me-- did they only apply to V10 firms or offices with tiny SA classes? Anecdotal, but I know people at/around median who have received callbacks... Granted CA offices seem to have a bigger emphasis on fit but still, at top 2% it seems like it'd be yours to lose.

Although I don't know of any specific cases like this, overall this year's OCI seems to have been pretty ruthless. At my school I know that screener --> callback yields are far lower than they have been in recent years, which is odd due to the fact that most offices are expanding their summer classes.

Is it completely far-fetched to think that some firms may send out a second wave of callbacks down the road?

guess my ding is coming soon then...that's totally ok, i absolutely hated my interviewers and i wish i could say why and who they were, but, you know how the cookie crumbles.
