Most large NY firms pounce within 24 hours if they want to give you a callback. If you get silence, then it is appropriate after ONE WEEK (or more) to send a letter to the partner/associate you interviewed with and say, "I am writing to reaffirm my strong interest in..." if you are truly very interested. (I got 3-4 more callbacks this way.)

tl/dr: HALF of callbacks will have gone out by the end of today.
So at what point should i be worried if i have only 0-1 cbs
if you don't have 3-4 by end of business Monday, I would really encourage getting in touch with OCS. You should also be mass mailing all weekend

I've been worried about it since Wednesday, but I understand the weekend/Monday/hopefully Tuesday to be when the bell's been tolled.
On that note, ding from stroock (BL), ding from Fried Frank (SS), ding from Arnold Porter but everyone already knows that.

Jones Day CB (non-NY office). Heard someone in the student lounge say they have a Skadden CB.

I haven't heard anything from Goodwin, Weil, or Proskauer. I didn't interview with the others you mention.

so excuse my ignorance but are we asking for initials because it's impossible for the same interviewer to put more than 1 callback through, or just unlikely? I assumed they all pooled together and made the choice from all the interviews as a whole, but do we know if each interviewer is given 1 person they can suggest or what?

No. More due to the fact that they are likely to do some/all calls back-to-back

Yup, sometimes different interviewers make calls at different times or even on different days. But your interviewer has already given out CBs to others, you're probs about to get dinged.
