I am slightly below median, mass mailed over 300 apps and have seen little positive response...gotta keep hustling.

I am slightly above, and I mean slight. About 80ish mass mails so far, have gotten one callback to a large regional that pays a little below market and that's it. A few dings and radio silence. Doing another huge batch this weekend, good luck stay on that grind.

Also slightly above median. Mass mailed all firms in seconday market already. 2 dings; no callbacks yet. Gonna do some more major market mailing this weekend.

Well above median with strong supplementary credentials. Mass mailed most of the large firms in my home market- all silence with a few dings. Began mass mailing a major market as well, pretty much the same. So frustrating.

I am the anon who got the one random callback. It is definitely frustrating but I have noticed that the Duke name has some serious sway in secondary markets. I have been getting a lot of attention at receptions and stuff, hopefully it turns into more callbacks. I think a lot of the regional places are holding off until they do their OCI's at the regional schools before offering callbacks. Its the only thing I can think of to explain the radio silence from firms we should be in strong contention for.

I'm a different anon who just got her first interview in a secondary today (woohoo). I agree with you and want to add that secondary markets generally hire on a later schedule. Even secondary market callbacks from OCI are generally later from what upper level students have said.

I know Philly is pretty big on ties...but what about Ohio. Is it worth mass mailing there if you are from NY and have 0 connections. I am thinking about mailing NJ/CT as well.

I would if you have time but don't let it take away from your top 2-3 target markets. I am going to just resume bomb on resume Launchpad to random places like philly, Minneapolis, jersey etc

Mine is working fine at the moment. There is an announcement on the home page that OCI segment 1 schedules may not be available at certain times between noon today and noon tomorrow.

I know CSO says we can't cancel interviews BUT...I waitlisted a firm that wants an IP or economics/finance background and I have neither. Just got the interview. Should I email them to see if I can cancel?

Where do you look to see if you got any firms you waitlisted?

I had 2 new scheduled interviews under the interview tab.

So does that mean waitlist movement is done?

I think it would have to be since open sign ups start tomorrow? I never knew if there was an actual waitlist or if by opting in, the firms then got to choose who they wanted based on their resumes.

Curious to hear if anyone knows

I didn't get any additional interviews from employers that I wait listed. I can definitely see that there was some movement off the wait lists for other people though - the numbers in the Estimated 2L Slots column went down.

I assume that the more interviews you started out with from the lottery, the less likely it was that you could pick up additional interviews off the waitlist, due to timing conflicts.

I was able to sign in and click around a few times before it slowed down completely. You aren't missing much. Very few schedules had slots available for open signup anyway.

Also note that you can do open sign up on firms you didn't opt in for.

It is still laughable that a website failure like that would happen. What a shocker, people logged on to get more interviews when open bidding started. Get your shit together Career Center...

I'm kind of thinking the time conflicts excuse is somewhat BS. Other schools do fuzzing and exercise some kind of control over which students get which interviews, and it probably happens here too. 2 interviews on Monday and I apparently conflict with all of the Monday interviews available that I tried to sign up for?
