I've wanted to attend a diversity career fair, but I'm not sure how I'd be looked at. Is a first generation college student, and therefore law student, a diverse characteristic? I'm white, but the only person in my family or extended family that ever went to college.

This is not the correct thread for this. This is for reporting the employment results from the various smaller diversity fairs this season.Anonymous User wrote:I've wanted to attend a diversity career fair, but I'm not sure how I'd be looked at. Re: 2014 Diversity Career Fairs
Several weeks ago, I participated in a resume collect through a career fair for a midsize firm I'm very interested in. Subsequently, I was preselected to interview with them at OCI. I thought the interview went well.
I just got a rejection email that said they have reviewed my resume from the career fair, and while I am clearly awesome, they cannot invite me for an interview due to their small class size.
Does anyone know how coordinated the fair/OCI efforts are in an office? IOW, am I dead in the water?
