If anything, it seems like the dings are slowly rolling in. I suspect there may be a few late CB's (particularly because I have heard of classmates cancelling ones), but I think it's time to hustle even more than before.

Top 20%, journal (not LR) here, 0/8. The idea that CBs are now rolling in is definitely not the case amongst the people I know, including those on journals with good grades.

Is CA your target market? My understanding is that the CA market does CBs later in the game, so you might have more coming your way!

Author of original quote here--unfortunately true. (To preemptively avoid speculation about poor interviewing skills, I am fairly confident that my interviewing skills are adequate.) I remain hopeful and will update if my status changes. I have confirmed, however, that several (though not all) firms with which I interviewed have already given offers to others.

Several interviewers have skeptically asked why I would be seriously interested in them because I will have "so many great options."

I know of one person with a Bradley Arant CB in Nashville.

This was my comment. Sorry for doubting you OP. Sounds like some serious "yield protecting" on the part of the firms. I wonder if it's because they expect you to go to bigger markets and don't want to waste one of the slots on you if they feel like a "safety firm."

But it sounds like you have a couple CBs now so good luck.

Are you also mass mailing NYC/DC firms from Wachtell on down? If not, you should. It may not be your first choice of place to work, but with those grades you should get some bites from very well-regarded NYC/DC firms.

I think chances are good for some. I had one interview where the partner said a few minutes in "well I'm going to recommend a callback." I know my numbers etc qualify so I have to assume they just haven't done callbacks yet. It was a midsize firm in a small market though so maybe not representative.
