Interview locations are posted inside the hotel, shouldn't be too tough to find those and there will be tons of people to ask. Firms holding hospitality suites are listed en masse on the OCI web page and I'm guessing will the locations will also be posted in the hotel. This was not something that was emphasized much today.

ok, thanks!
Another gem from OCS today: don't go to the hospitality suites just to get something to eat... try to like, talk to somebody.

^ You would be surprised how much I saw this happening two years ago. It's quite sad. Just be normal in the suites. As normal as you can be. And eat the food and pick up the swag. Just try not to go to an interview afterward with said swag.

Not sure about wifi, but there is a student section with computers downstairs. Additionally, school is super close so you can just go across the street if you have some time.

Also, does anyone know if we'll have wifi access in the hotel? I don't mind paying, but I'd like to be able to brush up on stuff during my breaks when I'm not at a hospitality suite.
According to OCS:
Knock at your time, the interviewers aren't really going to keep track

Yes to wifi, cards with the password in the student lounge

Eh I guess I did fine, I don't know. I'm gonna crawl into a hole and die. Until tomorrow.

In other news, fuck those elevators. Seriously. Not only did they take 20 minutes one way, you were guaranteed at least one awkward meeting with a prior interviewer.

Anyone else get any interviews through hospitality suites? Got one from Covington.

Jessuf wrote:I barely got to go to any. I had pretty much back to back interviews from 8:40 to 5:20. I had a two hour break from 12-1:40. I tried to go to as many as possible but only made it to about 6 or so (all firms I already had interviews scheduled with). I wanted to show my face in case they were keeping track of which interviewees had showed, but zero did. Tomorrow, I'm hitting up only firms I didn't get interviews with.

Edit: talking about hospitality suites here.

Also was anyone starving all day long? It's awkward to grab a sandwich at a hospitality suite and chat while eating, and I couldn't take stuff to go because I was rushing to my next interview or another suite.
Same thinking with hospitality suites. When I mentioned I had an interview, the recruiters didn't seem interested in meeting with me. But I got an interview with one firm just by walking in, saying "I know you're probably full, but I wanted to drop off my resume just in case," shaking hands, and walking out.

And I ate nothing from 8:30-6:00pm.

I had a bagel with nothing on it at noon. Otherwise nothing from 7.30 am until 6:15 pm at reception. Beer. Was definitely TCR.

One London firm already did a callback offer today (not to me)... but I had six interviews and heard nothing. I'm guessing tomorrow latest for NYC firms, end of next week for everyone else....

clifford chance?

I hear 24-hr turnaround is standard for NY.

Last year, all my CB's were after 2-3 days. All were NYC. Take from that what you will.

Invite to Gibson Dunn dinner. Have heard different things about ramifications of this, but pretty stoked.

which Sheppard Mullin office did you interview with? Does the dinner seem to be firmwide or for a specific location(s)
