Just paid and sent it in. You need to pay 240 when you send in your application unless you have criminal offenses, then you need to read the rules to see if you fall in the 1600 categoryleefair123 wrote:I am planning on taking it I need to call tomorrow to apply it was kind of confusing what I needed to pay... any clue out there the difference was 200 vs 1600 I think....

I think you need to pay the lesser one. The more expensive one is for lawyers, I think.leefair123 wrote:I am planning on taking it I need to call tomorrow to apply it was kind of confusing what I needed to pay... any clue out there the difference was 200 vs 1600 I think....

Yes, but that's because we don't list GPA.Anonymous User wrote:anyone got any grade request from firms?

Re: Loyola Patent Fair 2012
I know a lot of schools tell you NOT to put your GPA on your resume.
For Loyola Patent Fair, however, you should put your (1) GPA + (2) Class Rank on the resume.
This may seem strange, but it's the advice from the webinar I heard in 2011 before going to the Patent Fair.

So last year the bids started changing into other status this week. I guess they decided to do it all at once this year?

Transfer student here, rising 3L.
First semester GPA was a 3.35 - but 2nd Semester I got a 3.85 - and an A+ in Intelectual Property at a top 25 school w/ strong IP program. Would it be silly to update firms with new GPA or just hope for the best?

In the same boat as the previous poster - how would you even go about "updating" firms with your a new resume?

This might have changed since I did this 2 years ago, but back then resumes were final as of the close of bidding. Any "updates" were by hard copy at the interview itself. Everyone's in the same boat.

I updated my resume in the system. However, if they already retrieved them, I am not sure if it matters. I just plan to bring in a fresh version anyway.wiseowl wrote:This might have changed since I did this 2 years ago, but back then resumes were final as of the close of bidding. even if they hadn't downloaded your resume yet, it wouldn't matter. you can't change the resume you've assigned to firms, even if you update a new resume/make it default. everything's locked in once the bidding period ends.r6_philly wrote:I updated my resume in the system. Just a quick PSA - there's a webinar on the PLI website right now explaining a lot of basics that y'all might have questions on. It's called Maximizing Your IP Job Search with Loyola Chicago's PLIP. The recording isn't going to be available right away, so I figured I'd let y'all know.

Relevant to an earlier discussion, I was just emailed by a firm stating they can't interview me because they'll be at my school's OCI.
