I am in the same boat. It has been 3 months since my final panel interview and I have not heard anything. I may call sooner rather than later.

Re: Philadelphia DA
I'll just say this guys. Last year, nobody posted about getting a job offer. And it took a long friggin time also for the Philly DA to respond, if I remember correction.
My own experience: I had another job offer and told Philly DA about it to see if I could get an expedited review of my application. The people that interviewed me did not seem to really care. I eventually just withdrew my application.
All this to say don't hold out too much hope and keep applying for other jobs.

Thanks for the information and sharing the process that you went through. I think it is wise to apply for other jobs. Good luck all. I will post as soon as I hear something.

Has anyone called or inquired about a date for offers? I have an offer expiring in 2 weeks (that I told them about) and still nothing.

They told me they are still interviewing and to sit back as the hiring committee hasn't met yet. I expect February to be a more realistic date at this point.Anonymous User wrote:Has anyone called or inquired about a date for offers? Re: Philadelphia DA
So basically even if you really want Philly it's just tough luck if you have an expiring offer?

Re: Philadelphia DA
Basically. What really pisses me off is that the Bar registration deadlines are coming up or have already passed in some states so unless I know VERY soon I am basically agreeing to shell out an extra $200-500 for the bar registration late fee just cause Philly DA won't make offers at the time they said they would.Anonymous User wrote:So basically even if you really want Philly it's just tough luck if you have an expiring offer?

I know. I am in the same boat. I guess if I get an offer I will be so happy that the late fee will not bother me. If I don't get an offer I will be really angry about the situation. By the way the PA bar deadline is is 4/15 for the July exam.

Yeah, but other state's exam deadlines aren't so generous.Anonymous User wrote:I know. I am in the same boat. I guess if I get an offer I will be so happy that the late fee will not bother me. Someone at my school (T20) said they received an offer from Philly DA. I'd say 50/50 on them being trustworthy.

Do you know if that person interned with them? Also, I recently spoke with them and they said they most likely wouldn't start contacting people until the 2nd or 3rd week of Feb.Anonymous User wrote:Someone at my school (T20) said they received an offer from Philly DA. I was told the same thing about offers not going out until Mid to late February. I know that people that have interned with them received offers at the end of October.

You get a phone call if it is an offer. Otherwise it is a letter.

Absolutely not true. Some may have, but I did my interview mid November and was sandwiched between two 2L summer interns interviewing for full time positions.Anonymous User wrote:I was told the same thing about offers not going out until Mid to late February. Re: Philadelphia DA
In the interest of completeness, I'll add that at my panel interview in December I was warned that decisions would not be made until late January/early February. My first-round interviewer had mentioned he hoped I would have a decision by the new year, and I think he said this because they used to have that sort of time line when he was hired, but clearly that's no longer the case. Sit tight, folks!
