Re: Columbia EIP 2014
That sounds incredibly not okay, but you could email recruiting to ask. It could just be a coincidence in the system and the presumption that people won't ninja CBs for offices that never screened them that allows for the situation you describe.Anonymous User wrote:BumpAnonymous User wrote:Did anyone else notice that if you go to Cleary's scheduling website they allow you to schedule a CB for any office (not just the one you initially interviewed with). The safe play is to just schedule the callback you were actually given. Whether or not it is allowed, that you did or asked about doing this may or may not get back to the office(s) and they'll question your commitment to the CB you received and probably to NY as well.

That is what I figured. I was just curious if a CB to one office meant that you passed the first phase and the entire firm might have interest in you.Anonymous User wrote:That sounds incredibly not okay, but you could email recruiting to ask. Still radio silence for Cahill JS and Mayer Brown UU. The rest of us were assuming the Paul Hastings one was a ding that went haywire.Anonymous User wrote:firms I have yet to hear from, anyone in the same boat?:

Interviewed with ropes&gray for DC but with CM. I heard back like a day or two later, there was a reception for cb recruits at the heights yday, so i know they have gotten back to some folks.

Re: Columbia EIP 2014
I replied to the nonsensical Paul Hastings email and told them that I couldn't read it because of a computer error. They sent me a rejection email (in English this time) a few hours later. So the assumption that those emails are rejections seems to be a safe one.
