What was the longest it took anyone to get an offer after a CB? Are firms slower for 1Ls?

To the extent that it's relevant to your question - I interviewed at a few regional firms (think ~250 attorneys, offices across a few states) in my home market in early January while I was home for the holidays. They told me up front I shouldn't expect to hear anything one way or the other until early March after they'd finished their OCI at local schools (their typical feeders). Radio silence thus far (about 5 weeks out). This may just apply to the more regional firms though.

Have had six screeners and three callbacks, none from OCI. But that's out of maybe 60 apps, so.

All my 1L SA interviews have been outside of OCI and all non-diversity. Collectively, 8 screening interviews, received call backs on all 8, though I declined 4 of them. All biglaw. Also received a couple more screening interviews, but declined them since I already accepted a 1L SA. This was out of about 40 applications. T25 top 10%, non-URM, work experience. 1L SA's are raining, y'all!

Have had six screeners and three callbacks, none from OCI. But that's out of maybe 60 apps, so.

I'm a different anon, but I am diverse (although I'm not sure if anything on my resume minus affinity group gives it up).

I had 8 screeners total [3 for diversity positions, 5 that didn't mention diversity at all] and 5 callbacks (although I withdrew from 3).

This was out of 58 applications submitted in late January.

I wouldn't waste time/energy applying to any biglaw firms, but I would definitely seek out in-house positions and public interest jobs if I were you. Many of those places are still taking apps, but I think the SA boat has sailed. Even the slowest offices are now conducting screeners/in the callback stage; while you may get a bite, the odds of that occurring v. the time spent doesn't make for a great use of time

Yes. I got all of my interviews through mass mailing. 7 requests for callbacks, 4 actual callbacks, and 3 offers from about 25 emails sent. (T14 median + EE degree)

I got three offers for 1L SA (all biglaw) and two came one week after CB and one came the next business day. I'm sure this is a little on the quicker end though.

My CB is non-OCI and from a firm people have applied to and said to have not heard back from yet. So you never know.

Took exactly 2 weeks for me to hear back.

One of my B/L offers came the same day. Another one took almost two weeks after the initial callback, but the firm told me up-front that I was their first callback, and they weren't done screening. It really just all depends.

I'm probably 5th in my class right now at USC. I've applied to over 100 firms, only received 3 interviews through OCI (out of 4 firms) and I've had 2 CBs. I feel like my grades should have given me a better chance at a firm job. Is the LA market just not feeling 1Ls or what?

What should I do now?

There are a bunch of big law firms throughout the country that I applied to between Dec and Feb that I have not heard a peep from.

Assume ding, or do these firms continue interviewing & hiring into March?
