I was talking to some other summers and they heard rumblings that firms will be bumping salaries to "at least 180K." That's a direct quote.

So I think we're pretty well on our way to 190K here guys, nice work.

ETA: From what I hear, a lot of this is rumor and probably not true (and I don't think we got anyone from the firm/office to confirm here). But if any part of it is accurate, that guy was a wild one.

I know a bunch of people at Latham and all confirmed the basic story of missed flights, upgraded room, cocaine & strippers, but couldn't speak to every little detail. The people did note that he was a good guy and was always offering to get bottle service for people.

Yeah, I have plenty of friends at Latham that confirmed the story as well. I am surprised Latham got rid of someone based on work product though.

i know bigger classes sometimes do a class gift for support staff

if you interacted w the secretary a lot it would be nice to get a small gift, but it's not necessary

I haven't given the gift yet, but I'm planning on giving my secretary a Starbucks gift card and flowers.

I'm curious what others are doing though

Got cakes, pie, and cupcakes for all our secretaries. They really appreciated it and said it is not all that common for SAs to do. So definitely a nice touch.
