It's not as though there's some magic number of callbacks you need before an offer becomes a near certainty. Some got a DC offer from one callback; others did not from four callbacks. DC firms are generally pickier than NY firms, since their class sizes are significantly smaller, but there's no point in worrying about that. Just focus on the callbacks you have and hope for the best.
What's the best way to prepare for a callback?

Memorize everything in your resume and about the firm that you think will be relevant during your interview and think of interesting questions to ask people who are interviewing you.

Anyone hear from Nutter?

On a somewhat related note, are people still waiting for their loan money to deposit? I hope I'm not the only one...

Mine hit my account Wednesday.

Also, snail mail dings from Gibson Dunn LA and Carrington Coleman. A bit surprised by the Gibson Dunn one. I really thought I rocked that interview.

Its always pretty shocking to see rejections from firms I thought I interviewed well at. Kind of makes me wonder what I said wrong. Sometimes there is just no way of knowing.

Just got the Gibson mail, too. Definitely feeling like I need a beer and some jazz. Not at all feeling like I'll be ready for classes on Wednesday.

What are the odds of hearing back next week for cbs? There are a few firms I haven't heard from, should I assume that it's just a no?

If NY, yeah, that's probably a good assumption. Assuming you didn't interview with them at the very end of last week.

Those of you who scheduled Cadwalader DC w/o receiving the recruiting email, did you just call C. Erchick directly or was there another number?

Anybody heard back from many non-ATL southern firms? Talking Richmond/Charlotte/Nashville/Birmingham/Raleigh. Have heard very little. Who all has given out CBs?

Anybody get dings from Cadwalader NYC or Morgan Lewis NYC? Both screening interviews were relatively early in the process--and I know they have given some callbacks, but I am wondering if I am in a 'middle pile' of people that are not quite yet rejected (some people getting dings already would help this theory)

I'm with you. Know of someone with a Hunton Williams Richmond cb, haven't heard of anything else - dings or cb-wise (except earlier in this thread someone mentioned a Cadwalader Charlotte ding). Ughh South is so slow.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
