oh, it was generally day of - they'd squeeze me into some interview break. don't know anything about post-EIP screeners

I also have a lot still in limbo. Counting out the Pillsburys and Mayer Browns of the bunch as dings, but is it totally unreasonable to think that the smaller firms with less flexibility were waiting until post-NYU? Has anyone heard anything from Akerman, Lowenstein Sandler, Duval & Stachenfeld or Mintz Levin?

A recent graduate got her callback to the firm she's starting her job at in the last week of august, after her trip to Vegas. I have only 1 cb so far, and a lot pending. Her advice to me: get outta town, stop worrying. If they are meant to come, they will. I'm taking that advice.

This sounds like horrible advice. This is the best chance any of you will have to find a job and I recommend taking advantage of it.

Agreed. You have one CB. Unless you would be comfortable having only that one CB if the pending decisions don't work out, you should be doing what you can to have more. Applying directly to firms (as many of them as possible, and as soon as you possibly can) is the most effective way to do that, and your marketability only goes down the more you wait.

I get that forcing yourself to stay here and do work that you feel is unnecessary is difficult. I haven't even gotten dressed yet. But the number of EIP interviewers making calls at this point is slim, and fate and chance don't seem to be working in your favour. Hustle. Ignoring the situation and hoping for the best is the easiest, but far from the best, thing you can do right now. If it turns out to be unnecessary effort, hit me up and I will buy you fancy ice cream.

Ya thanks for the advice you both. I sent this only intending to answer the question above. I have mailed a lot firms already, done pretty much all I can to this point. I guess after this all I can do is hope for the best. I'm also having high hopes for the cb I have given the large class size they offer.

Of course—I didn't mean to sound too overbearing. Definitely go into the CB knowing you can be successful, and you'll rock it. Good luck!

out of curiosity, what day of the week was your CB? trying to figure out if the hiring committee meets on certain days/when I should expect to hear back.

I know at the panel OCS mentioned that it's okay to reaffirm interest if you haven't heard from a screener after a week or so. Is that TCR? If so, is tomorrow/Tuesday a good time to start sending emails to the firms that haven't dinged us yet? Should these emails go to recruiters, or our interviewer?

Just do it. Can't hurt. I'd email the interviewer and CC recruiting.
