Dejected OP here,

My GPA is 3.6, I have a MA in something related, and I am working on an article with a professor. I am certainly not opposed to mid law, at this point.

What are the kinds of firms I should be applying to? I have been working through the NLJ250, but I didn't think I should be applying to all those firms on that 5+ list, just yet. I haven't noticed any of these e-mails, please go on…

Where did you bid and are you from the region you bidded in? Lit or trans?

With your creds, you've got no business being shut out. Assuming you're not a weirdo at interviews, it's most likely your targeting strategy and approach. Rather than indiscriminately blasting out emails with a generic "any job would do" message, try to figuring out your lit/trans preference, and even field sub-category, and target those firms.

As for identifying midlaw firms, use resumelaunchpad.com to get a list. I would not recommend actually using resumelaunchpad to send the email, since it's so generic, but the firm list tool is great.

Last, 200 emails is not a whole lot. Broaden your target market, and remember that "ites" are not as critical for markets like NYC/DC.

Finally a break in the clouds, struck out at OCI but received an offer from mass mail today. GL to everyone who's still waiting.

If you don't mind my asking, what market was the offer from?
