I want to add that grades are not everything. It really can come down to fit. I did not have amazing 1L grades at my T14 school (in fact, some suggested I turned to public interest or drop out of law school altogether) but I know how to market myself so it would be difficult for an employer to say "NO". I believe this is why I haven't heard back from two firms even though they are sending out rejections. Interview skills can and does really make the difference.

For those still waiting, good luck with your 1L summer job searches! Now I can get back to focusing on my classes.... :D

seriously if you have not heard from weil at this point you are a backup and given these are 1L spots you should not rely on a late offer, the accept rates r very very high at v10 firms for 1L, even Weil.

Anyone renege on a job?

I accepted a judicial internship, but now there's a firm potentially offering. Anyone know how bad this would be? I'd like to pm any older people if they have experience and are reading this
