TBF, I voted for the unchanged option in the bonus poll and, my trolling to the contrary, I don't think salaries will move within the next year. But facts are facts. Deal flow increasing YoY is a fact. And that's important to me because I highly value righteous indignation and an ever-expanding list of reasons to boomer hate.smaug wrote:Damn ownt. I'm an STB associate. Last year, a fellow associate told me a grapevine story from a "very reliable" source about salary bump being a sure thing in 2015. I was legit shocked when the comp memo showed no movement. I want to believe, but...I just can't.

We recently had a couple of sizeable firms close down in my state. So, probably not expecting any huge increase (even though biz has been steadyish).

Um so if it didn't occur last year then it must be this one. No raises 2 years in a row now is just inconceivable.Anonymous User wrote:I'm an STB associate. As compared to last year, it’s been touch n’ go. We cut down on the number of SAs and a couple firms I am buddies with fell short of making 100% offers. Truly anecdotal, mood is more like “hope they match last year” rather than speculation on increases.

There is a rumor at my firm that the firm just plans on giving more people "under-performing" status during their views to screw them out of bonus.

guess this is PH with the new "no more 50 hour budget accommodation" thing?
(i.e., 2000 minimum but they had always ended up only requiring 1950, but this year apparently not doing that)
