I struck out at OCI last year and still ended up getting big law around the end of October. It's definitely not over. Mass mail, especially smaller markets and keep a look out for job listings.
That being said, because it is late in the game I'd start applying to non-firm positions as well. It's still pretty early for the government recruiting process, and there are some that pay - not big law salaries, but getting paid is always better than not getting paid.
Good luck!

Declining Weil (NYC), Debevoise (NYC), Davis Polk (NYC), Paul Weiss (NYC), Skadden (Chi), and K&E (Chi). I hope this helps many of you who are still waiting to hear good news!

Why the hell did you have 6(+) offers that you kept open in the first place?!

I don't think notifying this thread when we decline offers is really useful for anyone... The only places it might be helpful would be places with very small SA classes that hire in waves to hit their exact target class size. So if ppl want to post that go for it, but V10s aren't helping anyone.

I apologize, it wasn't my intention to be arrogant. I sincerely thought it would be helpful to other students. And to answer your question, I received 3 of those offers within the last 24 hours so I'm doing my diligence today. Thanks and good luck to everyone.

Don't worry about it.... it's just the tension felt by ppl w/o results yet. Most of them will be fine eventually. Congrats and glad you recognized that those firms you ditched are known hyper-intense sweatshops.

Hey guys,
I'd like to second the advice to mass mail smaller markets. It can yield unbelievable results if done right, and done often.
Keep the faith, everyone, and don't lose hope. It's not over yet!

Lol you don't know where they accepted....
Based on that group they are probably going to STB/cleary in NY or Sidley in Chicago

This is supposed to be a thread to support and help each other. Stop hating on firms (perceived shitlaw, sweatshop, whatever), there's no benefit to anyone.

+1. Target NYC firms, especially for corporate work.

I was rejected by my top pick this morning… feeling gutted.
I only have a couple outstanding callbacks for big firms with small SA classes (1 that hasn't contacted me back in a few weeks) and a couple outstanding screeners for big firms.
The sheer terror is creeping in by the moment. Please help...

I was going to say, probably worse - everything from the theory of the post to its contents screams Sullivan. And considering Cravath/Davis/S&C do the same level of work but with davis potentially the least unforgiving, the "sweatshop" comment is a little bizarre

Took an informal survey among people I know, and it seems like NUers did better this year than last, even with the cold wall put up by Chi firms.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
