Anyone with offers they're happy with thinking about leaving one open and doing OCI just for the interview experience?
This is a bit neurotic and really selfish. Nobody should do this. (Interviews are conversations; just speak with people about other things besides law school.)

Has anyone received an offer from Wilmer NYC?

Curious ‘24 checking in — does this program seem to have worked out okay? Are a lot of people dropping from OCI, or are many students still looking to get an offer/an offer they want?

I mean I’m a below median student who was able to secure an NYC V20 offer through PEP (which I extended to August 10th). Don’t know if a lot of people got their number one offers, but on my LinkedIn I’m definitely seeing posts about committing to the typical feeder firms (Latham, Skadden, STB, Kirkland, etc.) from my colleagues. I’m still going to do OCI because I’m also interested in the Philly market.

It worked out decently well for me as a below median student targeting Chicago. I'm going to accept a PEP offer from an AmLaw25 firm and opt out of OCI altogether (thank god). I know people in my position, people extending an offer and trying their luck at OCI, etc. so it seems to be all over the place.

I'm above median and have a V10 offer I'm keeping open and will be doing some limited participation in OCI. I would say that a very substantial portion of the class is not going to be doing OCI and are just taking one of their current offers based off my conversations with classmates.

What's the final verdict on PEP + OCI this year?

Just curious if you know where you stand within the 1L class? Or what market were you targeting?

Somewhat below median but not total bottom of class. Targeting NYC and DC.

Wish I listened to the advice about mass applying pre-OCI. The majority of my PEP bids went wasted as the firms didn’t interview anyone for PEP. I didn’t strike out but I landed with a firm I am very unhappy with. Never trusting OCS again.

Thankfully I managed to get an offer from pre-OCI from a firm I'm happy with, but that offer came from a firm I direct applied to via a diversity scholarship. Besides that I totally struck out during PEP and didn't get interviews from over half my PEP firms despite having good grades and applying to firms that OCS advised as being well within reach for my grades. I definitely feel frustrated with OCS and PEP given that it ended up not helping me at all, but at the same time I'm mostly just glad to have an offer I'm happy with

Every year students suffer from this mistake. Hope anyone in ‘26 or later reading this takes this lesson to heart.

If you read this thread, don’t get offers you want through PEP, and then strike out completely or with firms you like because you want to follow the OCS plan, then you deserve your outcome.
