Let me know if this is the wrong thread for this.
But could someone in the know explain how the host firm/reimbursement expenses works? I have 5 cbs scheduled in NYC for Monday-Friday next week and am driving in from CT. Do I just contact the first firm and let them know that I need a hotel for Sunday-Thursday? Just feel like this was never properly explained to us before.
Thanks.

Pretty much. Think you can pick whichever of the five firms you want to be host firm, but it won't make much of a difference unless you can figure out whether one uses a better travel service than the others. Tell them you're planning to use them as a host firm and then submit this form later: http://www.nalp.org/uploads/TravelReimb ... 4-2017.pdfAnonymous User wrote:Let me know if this is the wrong thread for this.

Re: Cornell 2017 AJF/BOJF/DCJF/OCI
I need to borrow some wisdom of my fellow TLSers:
I just had a CB and one interviewer insisted that I made a typo on my resume by using "memorandums" instead of "memoranda". I explained to her that I think both forms are acceptable but she seemed skeptical. I just googled it and looked up the dictionary and clearly both are frequently used in business settings.
I am writing thank-you emails now and do you guys think I should mention this in the email? On one hand, a typo on the resume is a dealbreaker so I may want to correct her. On the other hand, it might not be a good idea to challenge an interviewer.
Any thoughts are appreciated.

Absolutely do not bring this up. You already said that you thought it was acceptable. If it's a dealbreaker for her, she'll look it up to double-check. If you e-mailed me to tell me that you were right and I was wrong about "memorandums" being a typo, I can't imagine a way you could phrase it that would not make me immediately think you were rubbing it in, and I would probably want to ding you for it.Anonymous User wrote:I need to borrow some wisdom of my fellow TLSers:

Also, regardless of what google says, I don't blame the interviewer for considering it a typo, since I've reviewed hundreds of legal resumes and don't think I've ever seen anyone say "memorandums." Just accept that you used a phrase that seemed like a typo to an interviewer because it's not used often and move on.
