11th hour anon despo for Chicago ratio information (the bid-to-interview-to-callback-to-offer info they're withholding this year). Please post if you have it.

Re: Michigan OCI 2016
I've given up on chasing the hard data, but does anyone know which (if any) Chicago firms garner so many bids that they need to be ranked top 5?

Re: Michigan OCI 2016
I wonder if the data would even help at this point. When it was public, everyone doing OCI knew what firms they had to bid high. Now, it's a crapshoot and c/o 2018 might bid COMPLETELY differently than prior classes.

Also, everyone who has responded to these inquiries has said they're not going to data dump to anons. A couple posters have offered to arrange help if you can email from a umich account, but no one seems willing to just copy-paste on TLS (nor should they be, imho).

Does anyone know which Detroit firms are doing pre-EIW interviews this year?

Would also be interested to know this. Also, how does a pre-EIW interview work? How do you get selected?Anonymous User wrote:Does anyone know which Detroit firms are doing pre-EIW interviews this year?

How did everyone's bid strategy play out? I'm curious to see how everyone faired without all the data.
I got 25 interviews and the only high bid I missed was Alston Bird (6).

Has anyone heard back from any resume collects yet or have any information about typical response time?

Damn, nice work everyone. I only got 18 bidding NY and Chicago. I think I was a bit too aggressive with my 10-20 range bids. Oh well, here's to hanging out in the hospitality suites.

Re: Michigan OCI 2016
These are good interview totals so far. Small class size is helpful.
Edit--that said, be sure to pick up extras, both in the system and informally. Several people I know got their eventual firm by doing that last year. Relax once you have an offer, but not before.

Anyone know where you can pick up a current copy of Chambers? (other than at OCP in Ann Arbor)

As with all else in hiring: timing varies by market. Last year, I heard back on a Boston CB at the tail end of July, a DC CB in late August, and a Cleveland CB in fucking October. I submitted all of my resumes in mid-July.Anonymous User wrote:Has anyone heard back from any resume collects yet or have any information about typical response time?

Wow congrats guys, I only got 15 interviews. Still happy though, as it was pretty hard to know where to order what when we didn't have access to the prior bidding data.

I focused my bids on all of the offices in the Bay Area. 26 interviews from 26 bids, so I'm pleased.

Is there any strategy behind dropping interviews if you're at 25? Does anyone ever get off the interview waitlist?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
